The tour

This hike takes you along the Lonza mountain stream through the Lötschental valley, one of the most untouched and unspoilt valleys in the Alps. Your starting point is the Fafleralp with its impressive views of the Lang and Anen glaciers as well as the Lötschenlücke mountain pass. From here the hike takes you across meadows with wonderful fauna and flora to Kühmad, a dreamy hamlet with its own chapel. After that you’ll reach Blatten where the trail tracks the course of the Lonza stream to Goppenstein.
