Point of interest

Rough pasture Moos

On the mountain pasture, between the valley and the alpine pastures, most of the farmland are so-called rough pastures. The mostly dry meadows are particularly rich in species. Especially in spring a high variety of flowers create a beautiful picture.

Rough pastures are not or sparsely fertilized  and develop therefore a rich biodiversity. Thanks to the irrigation with water rich in minerals transported by the Suonen from the glacier torrents, a lush grass vegetation grows, which allows grazing or mowing of the meadows.
