The access points placed at the border to the UNESCO World Heritage site Swiss Alps Jungfrau - Aletsch symbolize that you are now entering a truly unique landscape, which was listed as a heritage of humanity.
Five mountain valleys surround the Bietschhorn like the fingers a hand. On the southern slopes prevail completely different climatic conditions compared to the peak and glacier zones. Dryness and strong insolation give the landscape a Mediterranean character. The Lötschen, Joli, Bietsch, Baltschieder and Gredetsch valleys have been able to largely preserve their originality. Away from the main tourist flows you find peace and tranquility along the mountain rivers and Suonen.
The uniformly designed info points and access points can be found throughout the whole World Heritage Region.
